Subject: Harassment Prevention Education
Rutgers is dedicated to eradicating harassment and fostering a respectful environment. This requires a continuing commitment from all members of the university community. As such, Rutgers requires that all faculty and staff be trained on the prevention of unlawful harassment.
Since 2014, the university has required employees to complete online harassment training. We recently updated our courses. The new training is designed to introduce you to harassment concepts and give practical coaching on how to spot and address various workplace conflicts that give rise to harassment claims.
The following course content is contained in the updated modules:
Workplace Harassment Prevention for Employees
Workplace Harassment Prevention for Managers
Title IX for Higher Education
The new modules address and emphasize timely issues regarding this important topic. These training programs are required for all Rutgers employees, regardless of whether you have completed training in the past.
This week, you will receive an email “registration message” from Skillsoft, the training program vendor; it will include login information to access the courses. To ensure compliance with this initiative, you are asked to complete this course within 30 days of receiving the registration message.
The courses take approximately one hour to complete. If you need to exit before you complete a course, your last frame will be bookmarked. When you reenter the course, you will resume where you left off. The courses may be taken with any computer with access to the Internet and on most mobile devices (iPhone 5+, iPad 5th Gen+, iPad Pro, smartphones, and tablets with Android 6.0+).
