DocuSign is an application available to University units and employees. DocuSign is a cloud-based service that provides users with a secure way to sign, send, and store documents through an e-signature platform. SAS-HR will begin using DocuSign to obtain the signatures of the Hiring Manager and the New Hire for all Staff (Class 1, 3, and 4) New Hire Offer letters.
As we do now, SAS-HR will download the Offer Letter template from UHR’s Sakai site and work with the Hiring Manager to complete the fields and finalize the staff Offer letter. Once the Offer Letter has been finalized, SAS-HR will bring the Offer Letter into DocuSign and route for Signatures (electronic). The letter will first route to the Hiring Manager. The Hiring Manager will scroll through and review the letter and Sign electronically. Once the Hiring Manager completes the electronic signature the “letter” will automatically be emailed to the New Hire for their review and Signature (electronic). Once the New Hire completes the electronic signature process the fully signed (Completed) Offer Letter will be sent to SAS-HR.
