It will soon be time to enter reappointments into HCM for NTT contracts that are ending on June 30, 2020.

You may be aware that these contracts have salaries that do not match what the employee is currently earning. These contracts were sent during the reappointment period last June before the across the board salary increase of 3% was processed by UHR in payroll. Those increases were done sometime in July of 2019.

Under normal circumstances, SAS-HR has had you cross off the listed salary on the contract and manually adjust and initial the new salary. With the advent of telecommuting, we have realized that this will cause a hardship as many do not have access to scanners.

We have had discussion with UHR and have decided upon the following remedy:

  1. SAS-HR will create an individualized memo for each of the July 1, 2020 reappointments.
  2. Departments should wait to receive these memos before reappointing the faculty member in HCM. BOTH the new contracts and the memo will need to be uploaded into HCM for the reappointment. Contracts with incorrect salaries and not accompanied by a memo will not be processed.
  3. Reappointments that need salaries to be brought to the new contractual minimums will also be given memos.

We will begin working on these memos next week and will send to you as soon as your department is completed.

HCM supervisory personnel has told us that the cutoff date to reappoint is June 18, 2020 in order to be on time for the first payroll of the new year (July 10, 2020).
