Kate has primary responsibility for the recruitment, onboarding and orientation of all Class 1 and Class 3 staff in the School of Arts and Sciences. Kate also assists departments with needs assessments and organizational structures by performing position reviews. Kate assists employees with University policy interpretation and application and assists supervisors with employee relations and labor relations matters as it relates to the disciplinary process and performance management. Kate also coordinates training for SAS Administrators as part of an employee development initiative.
Kate joined the School of Arts and Sciences Office of Human Resources team in August 2019. Kate previously worked as a Human Resources Generalist at Arcadia University with a primary focus in Employee Relations and Title IX. Kate has worked in many facets of human resources including benefits, payroll, recruitment and learning and development. Kate has a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from Capella University and a Bachelor of Arts in Video Communications from Arcadia University.
